Why I Stopped Reading your Blog Posts?

Here comes another day and time and as usual when you have no option than to just sit down and write, what are you going to do? The day is somehow clumsy here as it has been raining all day today. How has yours been as well?

On a more serious note, let move back to business as usual. Have you ever thought of this with respect to why someone might decide not to read your blog posts again? Come again, give it a thought. Why will someone stop reading your blog posts? But as usual; this post wouldn’t be complete without telling you about my good friend Little Johnny and why is now heading towards the police.

I think he was too kind to heed to this advice after he had read it. Do you believe anything you read? I guess you might be careful of the things you from today on wards when you find out what happened to Little Johnny.

Little Johnny, a thief, finally got to the safe(where money is kept) and was so pleased to find a note which read “Please don’t use dynamite, the safe is not locked. Just turn the knob”

He did so and suddenly a heavy sand bag fell on him and the alarms started.

As the police carried him out on a stretcher, Little Johnny was heard moaning, “My confidence in human nature has been rudely shaken”

His confidence in human nature has obviously being rudely shaken. Hahaha! He isn’t of course going to believe everything he now reads.

Now back to business as usual, why I stopped reading your blog posts is of course the issue on board today?

Why I stopped Reading your Blog posts?

1. You see me as a Robot

Many bloggers of late are very much interested in search engines instead of writing with humans in mind first. Why should I continue reading your blog posts when you see me as a robot; one of Google’s animals? As bloggers, the zeal to get more traffic coming in from Google leaves many writing in the language of Google ignoring their own readers. This of course makes your blog posts boring and one thing becomes clear at the end, your readers go and come back no more.

What to do? Please make it a point to write with your readers in mind. They make up your blog. Over-concentrating more on keywords in your quest to lure traffic from search engines the more makes your blog look boring at the end. Hence that same traffic you want come and go and come no more.

2. You’re busier than the busy-bee

How often do you respond to your comments or emails? Another reason which will keep many away from reading your blog post is not responding to comments. How do you feel when fellow bloggers respond to your comments on their blog posts? So why don’t you do same to your readers?

I guess you’re going to give that flimsy excuse that you’re busy. Even the busy bees makes time to produce some honey so why that excuse of yours?

What to do? Always make it a point to reply to those comments on your blog and those emails shouldn’t be left out as well.

3. You love my email address more than me

Hahaha! I really find it difficult to understand, after the pop up for an email subscription, there is the likelihood of an all blackout subscription for me email address once again. Are you interested in me or my email address? The money they say is in the list but it comes after quality had been delivered.

What to do? Be more interested in your readers not just their email addresses for it is human beings who are behind these email addresses.

What makes you stop reading those blog posts on that blog?

It is now your time to take over. What are your thoughts and what do you make of this post?

5 Good Reasons why you will keep Failing as a Blogger

Has it ever occurred to you why you will keep on failing as a blogger? I always say this; the easiest thing to do in this current world of ours is becoming a blogger. After all, all that you need is a wordpress and they even thank you for using their service instead of us doing the thanking you. Hahaha!

But the disappointment which creeps in and the number of bloggers who are hit with FAILURE which sends them packing without extending any regards to us makes one wonder. I tried visiting my old folks whom I verily well knew them as bloggers but visiting their blogs now directs to a parking service just like that.

But you know what, today’s post is all about 5 good reasons why you will keep failing as a blogger and as always the post wouldn’t of course be complete without telling you what my good friend Little Johnny is going through.
For those who don’t know Little Johnny, he is that good friend of mine who always finds himself in one mischievous act or the other and today is of no exception.

The President with his Deputy and Little Johnny and a former Miss World, were travelling in a train.
The train suddenly goes through a tunnel and it got completely dark. Suddenly, there was a kissing sound and then a slap! The train came out of the tunnel.

The deputy and Little Johnny were sitting down looking perplexed. The President had bent over holding his face, which was red from an apparent slap. All of them remained diplomatic and nobody said anything.

The Deputy was thinking; “These men are all crazily after the Miss World. The President must have tried to kiss her in the tunnel. Very proper that she slapped him.”

Miss World was thinking: “The President must have moved to kiss me, and kissed Little Johnny instead and got slapped.”

The President was thinking; “Damn it, Little Johnny must have tried to kiss Miss World and she thought it was me and slapped me.”

Little Johnny was thinking; “If this train goes through another tunnel, I would make another kissing sound and slap the President again.”

Hahaha! everyone had something to think about and I do hope this post will one way or the other make you think as well.

So what are the 5 good reasons why you will keep failing as a blogger?

1. Believing everything you Read

I don’t know how many times I have talked about this but the reality is; continuous repetition obviously enters the ears. We live in a world where everyone has his or her own perception to share.
Take for instance, Google and try searching for a single term. The truth of the matter is that millions of information pops up. Why is that the case? And it is simple; everyone has something to say about it so which one do you go in for?

I searched for ‘how to partition a hardisk’ today on Google and the funny thing was; numerous sites where telling me different options. So does this apply to blogging? We have various blogs telling you this whiles other blogs will be saying otherwise. So where do you go? I live you with that; the option is all yours and don’t forget believing everything you read and applying them might be disastrous.

2. You see blogging as a get rich scheme

Another good reason why you will keep failing as a blogger is when you see blogging as a get rich scheme. Another true revelation has to do with the fact many blogs are springing up each and every day simply because they read somewhere this blogger with this blog is making $$$$ every month.

Anytime you see a blogger flaunting with regards to the sort of money he makes every month, I will urge you to check how long that blogger has being blogging. Blogging money isn’t a get rich scheme and seeing it as such, there is the possibility of you hanging your blogging shoes in no time as a blogging player.

3. Writing everything under the sun

Furthermore, let me ask you this? What is your blog all about? A blog not having clear focus with respect to the sort of content it delivers is indeed good as dead. Some bloggers are like ‘Michael Jackson is dead’, visit that same blog again for entertainment and you’re likely to meet something like; ’10 top plugins’. How does that relate to entertainment?

Writing everything under the sun makes you and your blog boring and one thing which it will guarantee you is Failure. Please let your blog be known for one particular thing and stop hovering from this subject matter to that. Be focused and remember, one  way to fail as a blogger is writing everything the sun.

4. Thinking of Short Term

If you are only concerned with short term benefit, you will quit too soon from blogging. The most successful bloggers today are those who have patiently groomed their blog with their mind set on the future benefits. So, it took some them an average of five years to start reaping meaningful benefits from their blog. So, if you put in your best now in view of the harvest of the future, you will become a renowned and successful blogger eventually.

Your blogging aim should be that of a long term filled with continuous consistency and quality. Have a short term goal and blogging will disappoint you at the end.

5. You’re Afraid to Monetize

How do you plan to make money from your blog when you’re afraid to monetize? I just don’t get it; many bloggers are scared of placing banners on their blogs simply because they are scarred of what others will say.

So far as you have delivered quality, why should you be afraid to monetize it? Don’t forget it is the money that will be use to settle the hosting bills and renewals.

Your Turn

What do you make of this? Your thought by way of comment is very well welcomed.

How long have you been Pregnant with Blogging?

Today is yet another day in our lives but it seems to be a special day for our Indian friends. I logged on unto my Facebook account today and these types of messages were flying all over. What type of messages?

I am going to tell you soon but on a more serious note, let me ask you this; how long have you been pregnant with blogging? That is of course our topic for today.

We are now moving towards a new era and blogging seem to have taken the centre stage of every domain purchased. There are more than 300,000 domain names which are being registered each and every. Why are all these domain names being registered? And I guess your guess is as good as mine, they want to be part of the internet world. Being part of the internet world is a world which comes really easy. It is easy to set up and there is nothing like paying a monthly rent fee or whatsoever but instead renewing it every year at a small fee.

Please, before I delve in further with the discussion, I think it will be prudent to let you know what is going on in India and what my Indian friends on list are celebrating. Today seem to be a grand day in India and so to all my Indian friends, I say….

But before that, let me introduce you to my good friend Little Johnny who surprisingly had a 0% in his exam even though he believed he had answered all the questions rightly.
Take a look at the questions and the sort of answers my good friend delivered and make your judgment.

Q.1- In which battle did Tipu Sultan Die?

Ans. – In his Last Battle.

Q.2- Where was the Declaration of Independence Signed?

Ans. – At the Bottom of the Page.

Q.3- What is the Main Reason for Divorce?

Ans. – Marriage.

Q.4- Ganga Flows in which State?

Ans. – Liquid State.

Q.5- When was Mahatma Gandhi Born?

Ans. – On His Birthday.

Q.6- How will you Distribute 8 Mangoes among 6 People?

Ans. – By Preparing Mango Juice.

Hahaha! On this note, I wish India a Happy Independence day.

Now let move back to business as usual and let me ask you the question once again, how long have you been pregnant with blogging?

As I reiterated earlier, many blogs are being set up each and every day but the problem is; how many of these blogs see the day of light? I mean how of these bloggers behind these blogs make sure their blogs survives at the end.

Take someone like Darren Rowse of Problogger.net, he had been pregnant with blogging since 2002. Yes, he started his blog in 2002 and 12 years down the lane, he still continues to deliver quality for his blog and the most interesting thing has to do with the fact that; his blog now feeds him.

Blogging to me is more or less like carrying a pregnancy, it’s great knowing you’re pregnant (depending how the pregnancy came about though but in general it is really great) and so tend to go about telling the world how your womb has been blessed but as the months unfolds and the stress and signs of an expectant mother sets in, that is when the real experience begins.

And it is at that juncture which separate the ‘men’ from the ‘real men’. Many therefore end up having a ‘miscarriage’ with their blogs moving from this topic to that and at the end, there comes an end of an era.

I always say this; one place to be confused in this world is deciding to live the internet lifestyle or better put; it is deciding to becoming a blogger. Whiles this blog tells you this, there is another blog telling you something different so the question therefore is; which way do you go?

That is when being yourself comes in. The fact you’ve been told or read that this or that particular niche fetches lot of cash doesn’t in anyway mean you should direct your blog topics towards that when you don’t the requisite skills. That will of course give you some bitter ‘pregnancy’ experience with blogging and at the end give you miscarriage. HAHAHA!

Knowing what you want and deciding to stick to it is what matters most as a blogger is what matters the most even though you need to be taken advise but they ought to be discerning ones.

Your Turn

The question once again is; how long have you been pregnant with blogging and what has the experience been like all these while. Has it been a smooth journey so far or you’re still looking for the one responsible for your pregnancy? Hahaha! Let me know what you make of this post.

Your thought by way of comment is very well welcomed.

5 Skills Newbies Need To Boost Their Success Rate

You might be wondering how to stand out in the niche when there are tons of established bloggers out there.

You might be seeing many bloggers around you who are doing awesome in blogging, but you are still struggling to make your first dollar online.

Blogging has been changed tremendously in the recent years where new bloggers are emerging daily and trying their luck to succeed in online marketing.

But the point is, why few bloggers are creating fortune online and we are still trying hard and seeing no sign of success. We are spending more time than them but still not able to drive traffic on our blog.

When I started my career in 2011, I was totally a newbie.. A newbie who knew nothing.. I started my first blog on WordPress but I was totally unaware about its functionality and its features. But one thing which pushed me forward was my consistency and dedication to do something awesome in blogging. I tried various things to drive more people on my blog and then monetize it properly.

In first years everything was in hit and trial phase, but now things have changed completely.

In this article I am going to talk about few of the things which you as a newbie can take care and make your blog next big brand in very short time.

Note: Here I am not going to give you any magic wand which will do everything in short time. By short time here I mean is you will save your time which you might be wasting doing unnecessary or unwanted things.

#1. Learn keyword research

I know it might be little hard for you, but you will have to learn this if you really want to taste online success. For the first year I didn’t know anything about keyword research and kept on looking various other methods to drive traffic on my blog.

I after many things, finally I thought about giving SEO a try.

I started doing keyword research and found some hidden methods to rank my keywords. With my surprise I was able to drive 173,509 visitors on my 3 months old blog. This little practice gave me confidence to do more keyword research and I started creating successful blogs one after another.

So if you are still not doing keyword research then start doing it now. Keyword research is the very first step to find what people are searching and in which volume they are searching. One right keyword can bring tons of traffic on your blog. If you don’t know how to do this then you can read my niche blogging series where I have shareds few of the best tips related to SEO.

#2. Improve writing

People visit your blog because they want to get something new, something which they can understand easily and implement in their life.

If you fail to deliver your message in simple way then you actually failed to deliver your message.

My schooling was not very good so I always lacked in English. I knew where I was lacking, so I joined some English classes (I am still improving) to improve my English, because here we are going to deliver our message in English only.

If you think then you are lacking somewhere then start honing your skills.

Start reading great blogs like CopyBlogger, Boost Blog Traffic and Men With Pens.

These blogs will help you to understand the psychology of readers and you will be able to serve better content.

#3. Write long posts

Gone are the days when people used to read 300 words article and Google used to rank them high in SERP.

If you are in blogging since 5-6 months then you must have heard that Google keep launching various algorithm updates to make their search algorithm better. They keep making changes in their algorithms to serve best content in the industry to end users.

So writing long posts is the best ways to enjoy safer side and make your blog posts more engaging.

Bounce rate is such a factor which calculate the amount of time a user spent on your blog. Higher the time people spend on your blog, lower the bounce rate. Ideally it must be low. So long article will let them stay on your blog for longer time which will ultimately help your blog to do better in SEO.

#4. Make relations

I don’t know how many times I have said this.

If you are a newbie then I can bet that you are doing one of the biggest mistakes.

What is the mistake?

You are not sharing other people’s content and not appreciating them.

If you are not sharing, you might be questioning, “Why should I share his/her content when on the same time I can share my own and drive visitors on my blog?”

Your question is obvious.

But this blogging industry don’t run with this mindset.

If you are not sharing other people’s content then you are just failing to open more doors of blogging relations.

#5. Management

This is one of the biggest problem we face when we are sitting online.

We want to do everything, because we don’t want to waste even a single second of our life doing nothing to make money online.

So we keep trying various things at the same.

We think about completing an SEO course by a great industry expert but then soon we start reading another blog and then forget what we were actually doing.

This is a very genuine problem and we all have it.

If you are one of those guys then start managing your tasks today.

Personally I use Google docs and Evernote app to manage everything. If I am doing any course then I will put it in my to-do list and after ticking it finished move to next task.

I used to jump from one thing to another but soon I found the problem and started paying attention toward them. Most of my time was getting wasted in trying various things.. But I was not getting results.

So I started using some great management tools and now I know what I am going to do today.

Wrapping up

I personally lacked in all the skills I mentioned above but with time I figured them out and started improving them. If you are one of the newbies who still not able to make money online then it’s for you to start working on the things I mentioned above.

You might be already good in one or two things but mastering them all will give you fruitful results in future and you will take your blog at new heights.

Feel free to ask your questions in comment section so that I can make this article more awesome by adding more value with your awesome comments.

Overcoming Jealousy as a Blogger

Come to think of it? Are you jealous as a blogger or jealous in general? Kabenlah is at it again and with kabenlah.com, we look at the world through the eyes of others and today is of no exception. We are going to look at the world through Steve Pavlina but you know this post wouldn’t be complete without telling you what Little Johnny who is a jealous husband found out about his wife.

LITTLE JOHNNY: My wife where are you?
WIFE: At home love.
LITTLE JOHNNY: Are you sure?
WIFE: Yes.
LITTLE JOHNNY: Turn on the blender.
WIFE: (turns blender on) reeereeeereeee
LITTLE JOHNNY: Ok my love, goodbye.

Another day

LITTLE JOHNNY:My wife where are you?
WIFE: At home love
LITTLE JOHNNY: Are you sure?
WIFE: Yes
LITTLE JOHNNY: Turn on the blender
WIFE: (turns blender on) reeereeeereeee
LITTLE JOHNNY:: Ok my love goodbye

The next day, Little Johnny decides to come home without notice, and finds his son alone and he asked him son where is your mother?

SON: I don’t know, she went out with the blender.

Hahaha! Let move back to business as usual and I guess Little Johnny’s wife will have to come back and answer where she is coming back from with the blender.

Overcoming jealousy has been one of my most requested topics for new articles, but in the past I’ve always declined such requests because I don’t have much personal experience in this area.  I’m not prone to jealousy, so I can’t explain from personal experience how to overcome it.  Nevertheless, due to the demand for such an article, I’ll risk sharing my thoughts on it anyway.

In my opinion jealousy is a side-effect of a mindset that’s rooted in scarcity.  Jealousy is the emotion resulting from the notion that another person’s success or happiness somehow diminishes your own.  If you look at the world from the lens of abundance instead of scarcity, it’s very difficult to become jealous.

Why then worry about the successes if other bloggers when your blog has the right to succeed as well when the right mindsets are applied to it?

From my standpoint another person’s success and happiness is a very good thing.  You could even say that’s my purpose in running this site.  When the people around me are happy and fulfilled, they’ll naturally spread those feelings to others.  This is a situation to be desired, not avoided.

If you want one of the world’s jealous people in the world, you’re likely to come across a blogger. Hahaha! You have bloggers comparing Alexa ranks, pageranks, traffic and other stuffs and the next thing you see is them comparing with fellow bloggers and that is when jealousy set in.

They totally ignore how long the individual they are comparing themselves to have being online. But yet still you envy his success! That is  madness and will certainly not get you far.

How to Overcome Jealousy as a Blogger?

Just be yourself and stop comparing yourself with others as a blogger. That is the number one way to go. Going about and seeing the downfall of fellow blogs wouldn’t do you any good.

The downfall of Blogger Z doesn’t in anyway guarantee your blog’s success. Please keep that in mind!

Your Turn

What you make of this post matters a lot. Your thought by way of comment is very well welcomed.

Don’t Waste your Time Blogging

We have finally ushered into the eighth month of the year and obviously those resolutions we made during the beginning of the year had already being broken.

Those who were as fat as Yokosuna and planned to loose weight during the beginning of the year I’m sure have now added more extra pounds than necessary.

They now weigh more than expected. It is one thing achieving your goal and the other thing day dreaming. And one thing about day dreaming is that they always end on a happy note but the funny thing is that it is only a dream. And dreams aren’t achieved with eyes closed and great imaginations imagined.

It involves hard work and discipline so you don’t waste your time blogging if…. but don’t you think it will be prudent to introduce to you to Little Johnny? (My good friend whom you’re likely to find in all my posts here).

When Little Johnny was studying law at the University College of London, a white professor, whose last name was Peters, disliked him intensely and always displayed prejudice and animosity towards him.

Also, because Little Johnny never lowered his head when addressing him as he expected, there were always “arguments” and confrontations.

One day, Mr. Peters was having lunch at the dining room of the University, and Little Johnny came along with his tray and sat next to the professor. The professor said, “Little Johnny, you do not understand. A pig and a bird do not sit together to eat.”

Little Johnny looked at him as a parent would to a rude child and calmly replied, “You do not worry professor. I’ll fly away,” and he went and sat at another table.

Mr. Peters, reddened with rage, decided to take revenge on the next test paper, but Little Johnny responded brilliantly to all questions.

Mr. Peters, unhappy and frustrated, asked him the following question. “Little Johnny, if you were walking down the street and found a package, and within was a bag of wisdom and another bag with a lot of money, which one would you take?”

Without hesitating, Little Johnny responded, “The one with the money, of course.”

Mr. Peters, smiling sarcastically said, “I, in your place, would have taken the wisdom, don’t you think?”

Little Johnny shrugged indifferently and responded, “Each one takes what he doesn’t have.”

Mr. Peters, by this time was fit to be tied. So great was his anger that he wrote on Little Johnny’s exam sheet the word “idiot” and gave it to him.

Little Johnny took the exam sheet and sat down at his desk, trying very hard to remain calm while he contemplated his next move.

A few minutes later, Little Johnny got up, went to the professor and said to him in a dignified but sarcastically polite tone, “Mr. Peters, you signed the sheet, but you did not give me the grade.”

Hahaha! Mr. Peters has of course signed the paper but where was the mark? I don’t any trouble oo, let me move back to business as usual and talk on the issue on board; don’t waste your time blogging.

Why shouldn’t waste your time blogging?

1. If you don’t have the time

It will be a big shame seeing your blog going down the drain because of lack of time. So you see, don’t venture into blogging when you don’t have the time.

2. Free things are the most dangerous things online

When it comes to something free, I think it is only wordpress who thanks it users for using it. Have you seen that ‘ ‘Thank You for using WordPress’ but when it comes to hosting; free can kill you really fast.
Don’t waste your time blogging when you go in for free hosting.

3. No Discipline

Why bother yourself with blogging when you don’t have the discipline to continue writing day in and day out even when you don’t feel like writing.

Your Turn

I need to answer a call now and I think it will be prudent for you to take over with your comments. Please feel free to comment below with your comment.

Please your thoughts are very well welcomed. Why shouldn’t one waste his or her time blogging? That is a question posed to you as well.

Top 5 Blogging Women I wish all of them were my Wives and why?

Kabenlah is at it again. I guess that is what is likely to be going through your head. Yes, I am at it again and don’t forget here is one place where I write whatever I feel like I feel like irrespective of virtual slaps from their husbands. Hahaha!

Those who are interested into knowing what happened to the donation thing on this blog to help fellow bloggers, the balance sheet is $0.oo. No one donated but the usual  good initiative was seen all over! Hahaha! Please I do promise to push this a little  more further and will update you when there is a change in the balance sheet. But as it stands now, there is nothing in the coffers.

Now let move back to business as usual but you know, the post wouldn’t be complete without telling you what my good friend, Little Johnny is going through.

Talking of wishes and wives has made me remember my good friend, Little Johnny. Something happened when he and his wife found themselves at church one  Sunday morning;

A pastor announced,”If you know your wife is controlling you, move to the left”.

All the men in the church moved to the left except Little Johnny.

The pastor was amused and asked, “How come your wife can’t control you?”

Little Johnny quietly replied, “Pastor, it’s my wife who told me not to move”

Hahaha! and moreover, his wife is pregnant and guess what he found out from his friends;

The first guy said “When my wife was pregnant she read the novel: The Two Cities and gave birth to twins”.

The second guy said his wife read the Three Musketeers and gave birth to triplet.

Little Johnny, the third guy, stood up and started running home.  When asked why, he said “My wife is pregnant and she’s reading ‘Alibaba and the 40 thieves’!”

Hahaha! I think Little Johnny has a point in there. He wants no trouble again oo! How is going to contain 40 kids including Alibaba?

Back to business again as usual; the thing is; Top 5 Women I wish all of them were my Wives and why is the issue on board. The supreme word there is ‘wish’ and you know if wishes were horses, beggars will be riding the golden ones.

What is your take on this? Your thoughts by way of comments are welcomed.

Why there is now a Donate Button on Kabenlah.com?

I have come a long way as far as blogging is concern. I have seen many bloggers come online and only few continues to blog but the question I ask myself is this; what happened to the others? And one thing which distinguishes between them and those who has succeeded is support.

Can I cite myself as an example? I for instance started blogging when the debit card system in my country was really poor. It took almost a year to just to acquire one. So far as getting to online was concern, I had no option than to rely on using libertyreserve but the problem was, the big companies don’t accept it so therefore made it really difficult just to acquire a single domain.

One therefore had no option than to rely on small companies for domain names and web hosting which was always of low quality. Your blog could be hacked at anytime and downtime was really high.

Things really became worse when Libertyreserve was shut down for money laundering. I lost all my cash through it. I think I made this evident in this post of mine, Emmanuel in deep sh*t. And the support I received were simply marvelous.

I would had quit blogging during that time but with the likes of Mr. Suresh Khanal now of ICTTRENDS offering to host my blog for as long I wish, I couldn’t cry anymore. He was the one paying for my hosting for more than a year until I had raised enough cash and got my own debit card.

I received lots of support from people with devise backgrounds. The likes of Madam Marilyn Cada and Babajide were all behind me.

These were some of the comments from the likes of Madam Sue and several others.

Sue Neal – June 2nd, 2013 at 5:07 pm

Hey Emmanuel,

I don’t know how on earth I’d cope with a blow like this and I admire you for sharing your experience in this post. At the moment you must be feeling shattered but hopefully, in the months and years to come, you’ll be able to look back on this as something that’s made you stronger, as Ryan suggests.

You’ve lost a huge amount of money – it’s not trivial at all – so it would be understandable if you felt full of despair, but your positive attitude is fantastic and will stand you in good stead.

One of my favourite personal development lessons is that it’s not what happens to us that makes us – it’s how we REACT to what happens. We don’t always have a choice about the cards life deals us, but we do have a choice what to do with them and how we respond – I’m sure you’ll triumph, Emmanuel, despite this setback – maybe even because of it.

Having said that, I feel full of anger, on your behalf, about the greed and wickedness of those responsible for your loss and hope that you and the other victims will receive some recompense.

My thoughts are with you, Emmanuel, and I hope the supportive comments you’ve received in response to this post will give you some comfort and encouragement.

Take care – I wish you the success and happiness you deserve.

Adrienne – June 3rd, 2013 at 9:57 pm

I’m sure you’re still reeling from this news Emmanuel and I’m so very sorry this happened to you. I’m sure that with time you’ll get some type of news on how the innocent that got caught up in this mess can claim their funds. I would hope that would be the case.

To me that’s still a lot of money when you’re worked so hard to get that much. No laughing matter for anyone my friend.

I agree with Sue though, you need to move forward and it’s how you react to this that will make all the difference. I mean having anger and hatred in your heart will do not one any good. I’ve had things happen to me in my life as well where I wasn’t deserving of it but I was a casualty of a much bigger picture.

Our hearts are with you Emmanuel and thanks for being so vulnerable and sharing this with us. I’ll keep you in my prayers.

Hi Emmanuel, I’m really sorry to hear that. I’ve been visiting your blog and you’re a great blogger. I’m sure you will figure something out. If you do find the solution, put some donation button on your blog, I will be the first to help

And there were several other messages. I received lots of donations at the end from the likes of Babajide and James and from several people who helped me in one way all the other.

So why is kabenlah.com receiving donations?

There are many bloggers online who just need web hosting or have no cash in general to offset a pending domain or web hosting bill and that is when kabenlah.com comes in.

I would love you to help me to help these guys. I receive one or two messages from various bloggers with devise backgrounds almost on a daily basis with respect to why they think of calling blogging a quit as they have no cash to offset their impending bills.

This obviously becomes frustrating and at the end, leaves many hanging in limbo as to whether to move with their blogging lives or quit and at the end, they quit!

That is why I need your support with respect to helping me raise some cash to help bloggers who are facing challenges as far as blogging is concern.

It could be taking half of their expenses whiles they take care of the other half or depending on their situation, if the funds are there, kabenlah.com could simply take over.

We need more bloggers in this blogosphere of ours to enhance a healthy competition. So your maximum support and love is needed.

You can donate here.

Hard Lessons Blogging has Taught Me

If there is one thing in this world which can teach you really hard lessons; then if blogging don’t top the list, it will be among the tough 5.

Being a blogger is something easy to do but continuing blogging isn’t something for all. This I can tell you on authority. Not everyone can make it as a blogger but everyone with a blog can be called a blogger. Hahaha!

I know that might sound contradictory but let face it, where are all those bloggers bundling around during the beginning of the year? Obviously there are no where to be found in this blogging scenes of ours. I for instance have come across many of these personalities who ‘died’ as bloggers before their domain names and web hosting even expired.

What are some of the hard lessons blogging has taught me? That is what is on board and obviously the post wouldn’t be complete without telling you what is going on the life of Little Johnny as a teacher.

One  Monday morning, Mr. Tinko, an inspector from the Ministry of Education paid a surprise visit to Teacher Little Johnny English class and engaged the students.

Mr. Tinko: Show me what your teacher has taught you so far this year. Let’s do some comparisons. So I say small, you say small, smaller, smallest…

The students nodded.

 Mr. Tinko: big

Little Johnny’s Class: big, bigger, biggest

Mr. Tinko: clean

Little Johnny’s Class: clean, cleaner, cleanest.

Mr. Tinko: tall…

Little Johnny’s Class: tall, taller, tallest

Mr. Tinko: Mr. Tinko smiled and said: very good

Little Johnny’s Class: very good, very gooder, very goodest

Mr. Tinko: oh gosh.

Little Johnny’s Class: oh gosh, oh gosher, oh goshest

Mr. Tinko: stop it now

Little Johnny’s Class: stop it now, stop it nower, stop it nowest…

Mr. Tinko: oh please…

Little Johnny’s Class: oh please, oh pleaser, oh pleasest…

Mr. Tinko: look at me…!!

Little Johnny’s Class: look at me, look at me-er, look at me-est

Mr. Tinko: what a disgrace!

Little Johnny’s Class: what a disgrace, what a disgracer,what a disgracest

Mr. Tinko: [so furious]: I’m dead

Little Johnny’s Class: I’m dead,. I’m deader, I’m deadest

Hahaha!  Mr. Tinko, you aren’t dead yet until you read these. Some of the hard lessons blogging has taught me and continues to teach me.

1. Hard work and working smart can’t be taken for guaranteed

If there is one thing continuous blogging has taught me, it has to do with hard work. The more you work hard; it seems the luckier you become as a blogger.

Hard work is what is needed the most when it comes to blogging but you need to be smart. How smart you are as blogger is what is likely to determine your fate as blogger. These are two factors which obviously matters the most when it comes to succeeding as a blogger. These can’t be taken for granted.

2.  It is a lonely business with virtual friends

Another thing about blog is that; it is indeed really a lonely thing one could find his or herself in. The best you can get are virtual friends. Getting to share your pains and frustrations with friends are really difficult as a blogger.

You suffer alone and there seem to be no one to look up to even when you’re in some sort of distress be it financial or emotional stress.

3. Sweet Words can Kill You

Many wonder why I refer to anyone I chat with as ‘boss’ be it an individual who just started blogging yesterday or someone who started yester-years.

What kills most bloggers is the ability of not able to handle that moment when the praises start to pour in. I for instance have received several messages telling me how good I am as a writer but I don’t allow those sweet words to enter me as I know they can kill me as a blogger.

If there is one lesson blogging has taught me really well, it had to be; being careful with words which contain sweet elements. Be wary of them as well. It might make you feel that you’ve gotten there already when in reality, you’ve just started.

Your Turn

What to you are some of the hard lessons blogging has taught you as a blogger? Your thoughts are very well welcomed by means of comment. You can do so by commenting below. I have had my say, what is yours?

Some Blogging Terms which Needs to be Added to the Oxford Dictionary

Come to think of it. The word vuvuzela had finally being added to the Oxford dictionary after the 2010 World Cup which was held in South Africa.

As kids, we were made to believe anytime the Queen of England makes a mistake in a pronunciation of a certain word, it is deemed as a new word and added to the dictionary and the context in which it was made then makes up it definition.

Anyway, I am yet to find out whether that is true or not. But I have being wondering why such blogging terms aren’t found in the dictionary. I do know by now you will be wondering as well which words I might be referring to.

There is no doubt words like domain name, web hosting , blog etc are already there but there should be more which ought to added. Stay tuned and relax! Hahaha!

But you know what, it has being a while since I talked of my good friend Little Johnny in my posts. It is just that he is now married and as just as it is with all couples, they always argue.

Listen to the argument which was channel out between Mr.Little Johnny and Mrs. Little Johnny. And it was this, a man and a woman, who is the greatest?

Mrs. Little Johnny: Men are the head, but women are the neck. Without the neck, the head cannot stand. Men were created out of dust, but women were created out of flesh. And flesh is stronger than the dust. Finally, anything men do, a woman can do better, and in the life of any successful man there must be a woman.

Little Johnny: A woman is not complete without a man, because you cannot spell “woMan” without “Man”. You cannot spell “sHe” without “He”. Neither can you spell “Mrs.” without “Mr.”, nor “mAdam” without “Adam”. And why is it that we say “AMEN” in the church instead of “Awomen”?

Hahaha! Who do you think was more persuasive at the end? Do you agree with MRS. Johnny or MR. Johnny?

Now let move back to business as usual and as you already know, the issue on board is simple; some blogging terms and their meanings which needs to be added to the Oxford Dictionary.

And what are those terms?

  1. Harleenasinghment- Referring to a woman who loves blogging

  3. Suresh-Khanalis– Referring to someone who is really generous in blogging

I am not done yet. There is going to be more. There of course more names which ought to be added and I plan doing this once every month.

Don’t be surprise if your name wasn’t featured for there is obviously going to be part 2. And please those whose names but are somehow not happy, please pardon for that is how Kabenlah is. HAHAHA!
